Thank god for friends!

If not for the friends in my life I might never have managed to get though some painful times. No matter what you have them by your side which actually helps you bounce back…

God created men to complicate women’s life, then he created friends to help you get over it.

God thanks for all the friends in my life, so I forgive you for creating men the way they are :-)

Being stupid

Do we really learn from our mistakes?

Even though you have been through the whole phase of doing something stupid and hurting yourself in the process, how do you make that mistake again. Seriously how? I fail to understand.

Why doesn’t the mind and heart work in sync? When your mind knows for sure what you doing or what you getting into is not right and it would be a huge mistake, then why the hell the heart fails to listen to the mind to stop you from doing something stupid.

And you repeat the mistake and end up getting hurt. Damn!!!

Celibate!

Celibacy is lonely.

“Don’t spend all your time wondering what you are, who you like or whether it is right for you or wrong for you. Just let yourself be happy, before you find yourself alone.”

No matter how much you fear to get hurt, just be brave to take the first step or be open to accept someone in your life.

new year resolutions

There was a time when I used to make a list resolutions every new year. But hardly used to follow… Did make some effort though :-)

After few years I gave up, I realized if I have to change why wait for a new year. All I need is to make up my mind and start following it right then.

This is something what I believe, nothing against new resolutions  or people who follow the same :-)

Good Luck!!!

Raise your voice against terrorism

The Mumbai attack is the main reason I wanted to start blogging again. Everyone should raise their voice against terrorism. So at least this time terrorism is taken seriously and the government does something about it. I know we have no political power but being a democratic country we could always try to voice our thoughts to make a difference.

Terrorism is no longer targeted at a particular person, city or nation, now anyone and everyone has become a target. Whoever stands in the way or against what they believe; what they call “jehad”. The word Jehad means holy war, but what i fail to understand is fight for what? or fight who? Luckily we all live in a free country, no longer are we held captive or ruled by any foreign nation so what are we fighting for?

Shouldn’t we be happy that we get to choose our leaders, exercise our rights and voice our opinions, then why greed to take over other countries which rightfully does not belong to us. Why don’t people realize, gone are the days when men fought for land to expand their horizon and bring more countries under their control. But sadly being in the 21st century we still do the same in the name of religion.

No religion preach terrorism or encourage its people to kill in the name of religion. When there are people who fight for the lives of animals and cruelty against them, there are people who have no regard for human life. When the law and the religion gives us no right to take our own life then what right does anyone have over the life of another human. And killing people with no remorse and ready to sacrifice their life in the process, for what? A cause which they don’t even know is for the good of their people. Just because few people want to prove their point and threaten humanity, they prey on young minds to do their dirty job.

I know 9/11 was a huge thing and thousands of people lost their life and family. The terrorists brought down a monumental building like the world trade center to ground zero. But I don’t know if USA was right to wage war against Iraq. Iraq could have or probably were the master mind behind the 9/11 attack but was it right to go on a war against them. What good did it do? so many civilians and soldiers lost their lives and its still going on…

Terrorist’s attack still happen on various parts of the world, anyday we could either get shot or blasted. But there are ways to bring down terriorism. Use the FBI, anti-terriorist forces and other intelligence, war is not a solution to anything. It will only motivate them to get back at us. Eye for an eye is not the right strategy.

Lets join forces and raise our voice to fight against terriorism. We might not be in power to make decisions for the nation, but we can still make a difference in our own way.

Peace!!!

Hate!

Is it possible to forget someone by hating them?

The opposite of love is not hate. There is a difference.

If you hate someone it means you still care and that person still matters.

So hatred is not the solution.

Who are we to judge others?

What right do we have to judge others? Every person is the judge of their own self.

I’m not referring to the legal way of judging people who have broken the law. This is about people we come across in daily life. Even if you think that what someone did was not right I don’t thing we can still make prejudice statements against them. They may have their own reasons for their actions.

I come across so many people who blindly judge others based on nothing or the very little they know about them or just categorize them. I wanted to write about this because I was talking to a friend today and she was very upset about something that someone said. The person hardly knew my friend but still said such unnecessary things which ended up hurting the other person. I was very angry and also felt very bad for my friend. So I told her don’t let such things upset you, no one ever has the right to judge you in anyway.

We are what we are and we need to take full responsibility for our actions. I believe if end of the day you are able to answer to yourself what you did was right then thats all matters. What anyone says or thinks really does not mean anything.

Tears

Why do we cry?

Although crying is a natural human phenomenon but there is no proof or theory to prove why people cry and why some people cry more than the others… I understand its kinda an outlet of emotions but does it mean anything?

What do we achieve out of crying? Does it change anything? I have heard people say cry it out you will feel better. Does it help?

So why torture yourself by crying when its not gonna change anything. I’m not saying be this ice person devoid of emotions like not getting upset or feeling bad about something or feel the lose of something or someone. But just keep in mind crying might help you feel better at that moment but once you dry away your tears the situation is still gonna be the same. So try and focus your thoughts on more productive things which will help you move on…

You cannot undo or turn back time or bring someone back by shedding tears. Tears are precious don’t waste it. A friend once told me “No bad phase lasts long” nor can you freeze a moment and hold on to it forever.

Cheer Up! Keep smiling! you may never know your smile can be sunshine for someone :-)
