Not long ago if you have to reach someone, all you have to do is call them on their landline, they would either pick up or not, and if they didn’t, it only means that they are not around. But then came mobile phones, people had a choice, because they knew who was calling. Then, when a person doesn’t pick the call, it is followed by text message, Facebook post, Facebook messenger, WhatsApp, wechat, and other million ways to reach someone. And now there are notifications that say, if the person received and read your message. On god! Its exhausting! I wish we can go back to ‘Tring’ ‘Tring’ you pick up the call, and the rest is mystery. But having said that, even though technology helps you find multiple ways to reach someone, and when that someone is sitting right in front of you, people still choose to look at the phone screen.
